Kom Braai is the brain child of Dewald Visser, former TV presenter and producer of more than 300 TV productions. After presenting the popular Hooked on Golf on kykNET for 85 episodes, another 8 series followed on DSTV.
Now his love for food (and braai) has turned his attention to the first Afrikaans braai DVD. After the successful launch of the first KOM Braai DVD, Dewald turned his attention to TV and a 26 episode Braai series were born on Top TV.
Kom Braai also hosts a weekly outdoor cooking radio program on Radio Tygerberg in Cape Town on Saturday mornings as well as a male based Kom Braai monthly tabloid.
Kom Braai shows a lot more than just “dop & chop” we make starters, side dishes, bake bread, make soup, food for kids, main dishes and desert, all with a glass of wine in hand.
Traditionally the word “Braai “means an open fire with meat on a grid. Kom Braai will cover more than just this aspect and all sections of outdoor cooking will be covered during this series. |
